Liverpool and Adrian San Miguel part ways after five years

After winning every possible title except the Europa League trophy, Adrian San Miguel decided to leave Liverpool. The Reds initially offered the Spanish to stay but Adrian said no and chose to join Real Betis instead which he has announced since 10 days ago.

It is unknown what terms Liverpool had offered Adrian that made him reject it. If it was about playing time, the player has spent five years with the Anfield-based side being a third-choice goalkeeper.

In fact, he will be 38 in January, making chasing playing time unlikely. Adrian won the Premier League, FA Cup, and two League Cups during his time with Liverpool. The departure of Jurgen Klopp from the club has made several players unsure about their future, including Adrian. (Source: Fabrizio Romano)
