Liverpool agree deal to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili
Liverpool are closing in on a move for Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who has been identified as a potential long-term replacement for Brazilian shot-stopper Alisson. The Valencia goalkeeper has been tabbed as one of the best goalkeepers in the world following his sensational Euro 2024 exploits.
Valencia are reportedly demanding £35 million for the 23-year-old goalkeeper and it has been revealed that the Reds have agreed a deal in principle with Valencia for the transfer. Mamardashvili himself has rejected big offers in order to sanction his move to Anfield this summer.
If Liverpool agree on a deal, Mamardashvili will reportedly be sent out on loan to Bournemouth, which will help him in gaining Premier League experience.
