Lionel Messi is spotted in a video campaign for the Bad Boys promotion venture alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence
The Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi was spotted in a promotional campaign video with Hollywood superstars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence for the upcoming movie Bad Boys – Ride or Die. The Major League Soccer (MLS) player reportedly made a small but impactful appearance in the viral video circulating online.
From the surfaced video it can be depicted that Will Smith is talking to his co-star Martin Lawrence about kicking a football present in front of them. However, all of a sudden Lionel Messi appears in the frame and after looking both Smith and Lawrence in the eye he goes on to kick the ball straight into the camera, generating an impactful sound.
Viewers around the world are liking the clip. Leo was rested for Inter Miami’s most recent away-from-home league clash against Vancouver. Leo’s side was able to get all three points from the match despite his absence. Inter Miami defeated Vancouver by a scoreline of 1-2. Robert Taylor and Leonardo Campana netted the goals for the winning side.
However, as per reports, Messi is expected to play in Miami’s next MLS game against Atalanta United. Leo’s team currently sits on the top of this season’s MLS table with 34 points to their name in 16 matches played. They are one point ahead of the second place FC Cincinnati, who has played a game less than Inter Miami at this stage.
The upcoming match against Atalanta United will be crucial for Gerardo Martino’s team as they will look to hold and extend their lead at the top of the table. The club’s manager would want Messi to be fully fit and available for that game. It is worth mentioning that in the most latest season of MLS, Leo has started just above 50 percent of the matches for Inter Miami.
Messi has played 10 out of 16 Inter Miami matches so far this campaign. But the Argentine has managed to live up to the expectations by delivering consistent performances in the games he has featured in. In his 10 outings, the 36-year-old has scored 10 goals and has nine assists to his name for the club. If Leo continues his hot streak of form in front of the goal and alongside can maintain his fitness, one could say that it could be a very good season for the Argentine in MLS.
