Levi Colwill Injury: Chelsea star to miss FA Cup Semi-Final Against Manchester City
Levi Colwill, the Chelsea defender, is not expected to recover from a toe injury in time to play Manchester City in this weekend’s FA Cup semifinal.
Levi Colwill Injury Update
Due to the issue, Levi Colwill has missed Chelsea’s last six games. After the 2-2 draw with Brentford a month later, the problem worsened and was eventually identified as a metatarsophalangeal joint ligament damage. It was initially sustained against Crystal Palace in February.
The England international, whose recuperation required him to wear a protective boot, began light training a few weeks ago with the goal of making the big game against Pep Guardiola’s team at Wembley Stadium.
Despite undergoing rehabilitation with a protective boot, the 21-year-old has been unable to fully recover, although he recently began light training sessions. However, the upcoming match against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium appears to be too soon for his return.
Colwill started Chelsea’s impressive 1-1 draw at Manchester City two months ago alongside Axel Disasi.

Options Available with Pochettino
While Colwill continues to make progress, the focus has shifted towards targeting the Premier League fixtures against Arsenal and Aston Villa next week for a potential comeback.
Colwill’s absence leaves Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino with a selection dilemma in central defense, with options including Thiago Silva, Trevoh Chalobah, Benoit Badiashile, and Axel Disasi for the crucial FA Cup clash against Manchester City on Saturday evening.
