Leicester City 1-3 Nottingham Forest Player Ratings as Chris Wood’s double sinks the Foxes

Nottingham Forest club defeated Leicester City 3-1 at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League to continue their impressive form this season. The Foxes were under great pressure due to a lacklustre start to the season and they were immediately put on the back foot after Ryan Yates’ stunning long-range goal in the 16th minute. However, it was cancelled by Jamie Vardy’s equaliser after 7 minutes, with the Foxes striker slotting home Harry Winks’ low cross.

The Forest curbed Leicester’s momentum two minutes into the second half after Chris Wood fired home a clinical finish before he scored his second of the night, capitalising on Wout Faes’ defensive error. The hosts’ quest to get back into the game ended in vain as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side picked up three points to climb to the fifth position in the league table. Meanwhile, Leicester are stagnant in the 14th position.
