It was the UEFA Nations League Group 2 match between Israel and Belgium of League A. Belgium’s No. 11 Leandro Trossard, operating from the left wing, stepped on foot, and as a result, he got his foot injured. The step was so bad that he had to limp off the field to get subbed by No. 19 Johan Bakayoko. Missing their key forward, the favourites Belgium national football team lost the game to Israel by 1-0. Belgium just took 12 shots, took four on-target, and could convert none.
Impact of Leandro Trossard injury on Arsenal FC
There has been no further update yet on the Leandro Trossard injury. But, if the extent of the injury is severe, making the player miss even a handful of games, then the issue will be another blow for Mikel Arteta and his coached side.
The Gunners have been unlucky this season with a list of injuries impacting them, they were downtrodden right at the beginning when captain Martin Odegaard picked up a serious blow, making him unfit for a long time, only to return a few days back.
Now, when they are finally out of the zone of missing their pivot Odegaard, a fresh problem has been welcomed again. Leandro Trossard, if out for long, will make the Arsenal FC attack suffer. They might struggle to find goal-scoring opportunities.
Arsenal are already lacking natural options in the attack with Bukayo Saka facing risks too. If Trossard is sidelined, he will join Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Riccardo Calafiori, and Kieran Tierney. With so many first-team members sidelined, the road looks tough.
They are set to face Nottingham Forest in no time, on November 23, post that the club will also fight rivals Manchester United, and biggies AS Monaco in the coming days. So, nothing but an injury-free squad is all genius tactician Mikel Arteta will be hoping for now.
