Kingsley Coman contemplating an offer from Al Hilal with Bayern Munich ready to offload the winger

Kingsley Coman looks to be the next player on the wishlist of Saudi Arabian football. Fabrizio Romano has reported that Al Hilal has submitted a proposal to Coman’s current club, Bayern Munich. The figures of the deal are not known yet, but one can expect astronomical numbers. Bayern Munich has already given the green light and Kingsley Coman is now seriously considering the approach.

The French winger’s future has been up in the air throughout the summer at the Allianz Arena. The 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under the new Bayern coach, Vincent Kompany. French sources have reported his desire to leave Germany and start a fresh chapter in his life. Kingsley Coman will need to make a swift call regarding Al Hilal’s offer to get the deal over the line.

Kingsley Coman joined Bayern Munich back in 2015 on an initial loan deal from Juventus. The winger has become a fan favourite at the Bavarian club, winning the league every season bar one. Coman also scored the winning goal in Bayern’s triumph at the UEFA Champions League final 2020. However, constant injury woes have reduced his playing time significantly, leading to a less prominent role at the club.

FC Barcelona also in the hunt for Kingsley Coman

Along with Al Hilal, several top European clubs are also monitoring the situation of Kingsley Coman at Bayern Munich. Liverpool is said to have registered an interest in the Frenchman but it is FC Barcelona which has been linked strongly to the winger in recent weeks. Barcelona’s manager, Hansi Flick has worked with the player previously at Bayern and is a strong admirer of his skills.

Barcelona will likely work on a loan deal for Coman. The major obstacle will be the club’s issues in getting the player registered with La Liga, as was evident with Dani Olmo. The player’s current salary of €17 million per year will not be within Barcelona’s threshold. In the end, the move’s probability will need Kingsley Coman’s approval first.
