Kevin De Bruyne Agrees Personal Terms with Al-Ittihad
Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has “agreed personal terms” with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, Daily Mail have reported. The Belgium international may be headed to Saudi Arabia, but Manchester City are “desperate” to keep him.
While it’s uncertain if De Bruyne will leave before his contract ends in 2025, City are keen to retain their star player, especially as earlier reports suggested he might finish his career in Manchester. The Athletic reported in February that De Bruyne intended to sign a new contract with City, aiming to retire at the Etihad at around 35.
However, there have been indications of a change in his plans. In May, it was revealed that his representatives had engaged in talks with the new MLS franchise San Diego FC before preliminary discussions about his potential move to Saudi Arabia also came to light.
