‘Incredibly Frustrated’ – Jude Bellingham shares honest thoughts after injury
Injured Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has voiced out his disappointment over his injury troubles.
The English midfielder has picked up a muscle injury in his right leg and is expected to be out until September end, thus missing a few fixtures. This puts up a new challenge for Real Madrid, who had been relying on the presence of the talent in La Liga. Additionally, he will also miss out on games for England in the Nation League against Ireland and Finland, leaving a significant gap.
This injury could be the result of a grueling 2023-24 season for Bellingham, as the 21-year-old was pivotal in Real Madrid‘s success in both the La Liga and Champions League. Last season gave him the status as Europe’s finest, however, the summer was just as intense representing The Three Lions at the European Championship in Germany, as the youngster’s effort fell short as his side finished runners-up to end the campaign.
The Real Madrid number 5 expressed that missing games would be hard to digest and wrote on Instagram: “Nothing I hate more than missing games but trying to see the positive side, and maybe my body is telling me it needs a bit more rest after a busy year. I’m very frustrated but I’ll be supporting the lads like a fan until I can rejoin them again in my best and strongest form. Thanks for your messages of concern and support. 💪🏽 Lots of love and Hala Madrid! 🤍”
As the midfielder is on the recovery trail, Real Madrid shifts focus to their next La Liga fixture, as they host Real Valladolid on Sunday for their first home game of the season.
