Jude Bellingham is on painkillers in the second leg against Bayern Munich following an injury
Jude Bellingham Injury: Jude Bellingham has just one thing on his head, handing Real Madrid a Champions League final in his season debut. Despite being diagnosed with a knee injury minutes before the second-leg game against Bayern Munich, he insisted on playing.
Bellingham had a painkiller so he could still play in the game which he has done so far. He has helped Madrid break into Bayern’s defensive line, providing passes for Vinicius Junior and some other players.
Jude Bellingham to break his own record
With him starting for Madrid tonight, Bellingham already played 33 Champions League games during his career. He is one goal away from surpassing his own best goalscoring record in a single-season campaign.
The Birmingham-born’s best milestone is to score four goals in one season, having done it for Borussia Dortmund last season. This season, he has been scoring four times with the latest coming in the group stage against Napoli.
Madrid have to win the second leg to get them closer to the 15th title. Both clubs played a draw in the first leg at Allianz Arena, Munich last week, leaving the score 2-2 on aggregate. As things stand, the game was goalless on the break with Madrid dominating 58 percent of the ball possession in the first half. Followed by sending more shots (8) than the visitors who managed to send only two during 45-plus minutes of the game.
