Inter Milan vs Crvena Zvezda Player Ratings as the Italians thrash the visitors

Inter Milan hosted Cverna Zvezda today at the San Siro and completely outclassed them by a 4-0 margin. It was an extremely dominant performance from the Italians who were heavy favourites for the game.

Simone Inzaghi’s men rotated a bit but it didn’t matter. Hakan Calhanoglu gave them the lead with a fantastic free-kick. Marco Arnautovic then made it two, before Lautaro Martinez added another off the bench. Mehdi Taremi then scored a fourth from the spot.

B. Pavard — 7/10. Solid and comfortable outing for the Frenchman. Most of his duties were with the ball and he did that well.

S. de Vrij — 7/10. Hardly had anything to do defensively. Solid on the ball as usual. Picked up a booking.

A. Bastoni – 7/10. The young Italian is one of the best on the ball in the world and gave another demonstration of that. Simply incredible on the ball.

C. Augusto – 6/10. Reliable as usual from the Brazilian. Has been dependable in place of Federico Dimarco.

Midfielders

P. Zielinski — 8/10. The Polish playmaker was a big creative force. Looks like a phenomenal signing on a free.

H. Calhanoglu — 9/10. Some of the football he has played lately has been exquisite. A freekick goal to roll back the years today from the Turk.

H. Mkhitaryan – 8/10. The experienced midfielder had a great outing. Created a number of chances and took a lot of shots.

Forwards

M. Taremi — 9/10. Scored late on from the spot. Created two big chances and picked up two assists. Another great signing on a free.

M. Arnautovic — 8/10. Scored Inter’s second goal on the night. The big Austrian is proving to be a reliable backup for Inter.

Substitutions

F. Acerbi – 6/10. Come off the bench near the hour mark and consolidate on the great job already done.

D. Frattesi – 5/10. Came on at the same time as Acerbi and didn’t impact the game a lot.

L. Martinez – 7/10. Came off the bench to grab the third goal. Rested today but still on the scoresheet.

Goalkeeper

O. Glazer – 6/10. Made a few saves but could do nothing as Inter ran riot. Was completely helpless for the most part.

Defenders

S. Young-Woo – 7/10. One of the best performances for the Serbian side. Very good with the ball in particular.

V. Drkusic – 4/10. Conceded a penalty late in the game. Was dominated by Inter throughout the game. Overwhelmed.

U. Spajic– 4/10. Made a poor error leading to a goal for Inter. Failed to win his challenges. Very poor.

N. Djiga – 6/10. Had a huge share of possession. One of his team’s better performers. Defensively solid as well.

Midfielders

R. Krunic – 5/10. Quite a poor outing from the ex-Milan midfielder. Made an error leading to an opposition goal and failed to make use of the possession.

T. Elsnik – 6/10. Only slightly better than his partner. Completed the most dribbles in the game. Picked up a booking though.

S. Mvumpa – 5/10. Lost the most number of duels. Failed to threaten a whole lot during the game.

A. Maksimovic – 6/10. The youngster looked a bit outdone by the occasion. Looked bright in spells though.

P. Olayinka – 7/10. Created the most danger for the away side. Their best option in transition which they tried to utilise.

Forwards

C. Ndiaye – 6/10. Won the most duels in the game. The Serbian side often tried to go directly to him when they got the ball.

Substitutions

L. Ilic – 6/10. Took a shot and looked bright. Maybe could have done more if he started.

N. Radonjic – 6/10. The experienced campaigner brought some creativity off the bench.

B. Duarte – 5/10. The striker could not even take a shot after coming on.
