Inter Miami vs Nashville Player Ratings as Lionel Messi scores brace, Busquets grabs a goal in simple win

Inter Miami vs Nashville Match Summary

Inter Miami vs Nashville in the Major League Soccer (MLS) ended in a comfortable 3-1 win for the hosts at the Chase Stadium on April 20.

The hosts were handed a horror start as they found themselves trailing by a goal after just two minutes. Left-back Franco Negri was in the wrong place at the wrong time and nodded home an own goal to gift Nashville the lead very early in the game. However, the visitors’ advantage only lasted nine minutes, with Lionel Messi grabbing the equalizer for Inter Miami in the 11th minute.

Miami had more of the ball in the first half with 57% possession. They attempted eight shots, with six of those on target, and grabbed the lead just before the break. Sergio Busquets converted an easy chance to make it 2-1 after 39 minutes as the hosts led Nashville at the break.

The visitors were no pushovers as they refused to fold despite being down. They came out for the second half with determination and even kept more of the ball in the second half. They created several chances to try and find a way back into the game but just three of their eight shots were on target. This gave Inter Miami some breathing room and they were awarded a penalty after 80 minutes.
