Igor Tudor Set to Take the Helm at Lazio as Sarri’s Successor
Serie A club Lazio are poised to welcome Igor Tudor as their new manager, with the former Verona and Marseille boss set to replace Maurizio Sarri. The deal, anticipated to be finalized soon, will see Tudor at the helm until June 2025, with an option for further extension.
Igor Tudor – The New Lazio Manager
Following Sarri’s resignation from the Roman outfit, Giovanni Martusciello has assumed temporary charge. However, negotiations with Tudor have progressed significantly, indicating an imminent appointment.
Reports from Gianluca di Marzio confirm that an agreement has been reached between Lazio and Tudor.
The ex-Marseille boss is expected to sign a one-and-a-half-year contract, with finer details to be ironed out after Lazio’s upcoming fixture against Frosinone, during which Martusciello will remain in charge.
Today’s discussions, attended by Lazio CEO Claudio Lotito, marked a decisive step towards finalizing the agreement with Tudor. Rather than waiting until the end of the season, the club is keen to expedite Tudor’s appointment, albeit after their imminent Serie A encounter.
