The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 schedule. The tournament is all set to begin on February 19, 2025, and the final is all set to be played on March 9, 2025.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will feature eight teams, divided into two groups. The top two teams from both groups will be playing in the semi-final, and the winners of the two semi-finals will be locking horns with each other in the final of the tournament.

Pakistan the Defending Champions will Look to defend their Title here at their home however they have to face India in Dubai in league Stages.

ICC Champions Trophy Groups 2025

All eight teams are divided into two groups, and each group consists of four teams. The Indian National Cricket Team, along with defending champions Pakistan National Cricket Team, New Zealand National Cricket Team, and Bangladesh National Cricket Team, are in Group A, while Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan are placed in Group B. Group B is also been called as Group of Death. Each team will face the other three teams from the same group, and the top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

When is the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Final?

The Final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled for 09th March in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Pakistan however it may relocated if India qualifies for The Finals, as BCCI didn’t let Indian players to travel Pakistan due to security reasons. If India Qualifies for the finals then it will be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, U.A.E..

What is reserve day?

Reserve day in cricket is an additional day that is allocated to complete a match if it is not able to be completed or finished on the scheduled day. It may be because of rain or any type of weather interruption or Other foreseen circumstances.

It is generally used in major tournaments, especially for knockout games like semi-finals and finals. This reserve day Is on the next day of the originally scheduled day of the game. And because of this reserve day, we can get a result instead of sharing the trophy and using alternates like the Duckworth Louis Stern method.

The Reserve Day cannot be used for league-stage matches due to the schedules of other matches clashed with it. When the Reserve Day gets activated the match resumes from the point where it was stopped on the scheduled day rather than restarting from the beginning.
