Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou believes the club would be in a good position to sign players in the upcoming summer window but warns that he would never let Tottenham spend £100m on a single player.
Postecoglou Addresses Tottenham Targets in Press Conference
The Australian manager believes the club needs to make a few crucial signings in the summer and the fans are hopeful about what the future holds for the North London club.
Spurs brought in seven players in Postecoglou’s first transfer window as the club manager and then signed Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner in January. They also signed 18-year-old Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall last month who will be teaming up in July.
The former Celtic manager addressed he would need to make a couple of additions to take the squad to the next level in his latest press conference (Postecoglou Press Conference).
“A little bit of that depends on availability of players, suitability of players. There could be more activity, there could be less activity, but again, what we want to do is make sure we bring in the right ones. Maybe we do only bring in one or two, I don’t know, but that will only be because we think there are only one or two that are suitable for what we’re looking for, but that doesn’t mean we’ll be where I want us to be.”
Who are Tottenham’s Top Three Targets in the Summer?
Jaden Philogene – The North London club are reportedly leading the race for the young forward who has been one of the standout players in the second division currently plying his trade for Hull City. The Aston Villa academy graduate has bagged eight goals and six assists in 22 games for the Championship side this season. Spurs are hoping to reinforce their attacking options in the summer and Philogene could be a potential option for the North London side.

Conor Gallagher – Tottenham Hotspur continues to be linked with Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher who has been one of the club’s top performers this season. He has honed the captain’s armband due to Reece James’ absence and has played a pivotal role for Mauricio Pochettino. With only a year remaining in his contract, Tottenham are keen to secure the midfielder’s services in the summer.
Lloyd Kelly – The Premier League giants have set their eyes on Llyod Kelly who will become a free agent once his deal with Bournemouth expires in the summer. Manager Ange Postecoglou is keen to bring a left-sided centre-back and Kelly certainly fits the bill.
