Hoffenheim interested in Liverpool outcast Sepp van den Berg
German club Hoffenheim has entered the fray for Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg, who is unhappy with his limited role at Anfield and seeks an exit this summer. Liverpool have reportedly slapped a €20 million price tag to part ways with the Dutch youth international.
Sepp van den Berg spent the last season on loan at Mainz, who are also monitoring the defender’s situation this summer. Hoffenheim have reportedly held talks with the player’s representatives over a potential permanent deal.
The young centre-back featured in 33 Bundesliga games for Mainz last season and a permanent move to Germany this summer will benefit his career in the long run.
