Harry Kane Injury: Striker shares cryptic injury update

Following England’s narrow margin 0-1 defeat against Brazil in an international friendly, Harry Kane offered a cryptic injury update on his injury as Gareth Southgate announced that the Harry Kane injury will rule the striker out against England’s friendly against Belgium as well.

Harry Kane Injury: Striker’s cryptic six word injury update

Harry Kane has been in fabulous form ever since his transfer to the Bundesliga reigning champions Bayern Munich. The striker’s 31 goals in 25 outings in the German league have been a testament to his scoring prowess. However, Kane sustained an ankle injury days prior to the international break. Despite the injury, Kane joined the England camp in hopes of recovering from the minor injury and playing some minutes in the international break. However, following the update offered by Gareth Southgate and the English striker regarding the Harry Kane injury seems ominous.

Following the 0-1 defeat to Brazil last night, journalists quickly flocked to the injured Kane to ask him for an injury update. In response to their queries, all Kane could muster up was a six worded cryptic reply. Answering Kane said, “I’m okay. I’m okay. We’ll see.” The answer seemed to offer English fans at least a little hope before Gareth Southgate announced that the striker is ruled out for the international friendly against Belgium and will return to Bayern, breaking the hearts of fans eager to see him play for the Three Lions.

The Harry Kane injury which was initially deemed to be minor ankle injury now has cast doubts over the striker’s involvement in the upcoming UEFA Champions League quarter finals tie against Arsenal. With Bayern Munich already trailing by ten points in the league to Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen, an extended Harry Kane injury could prove to be detrimental to the German giants aspirations this season. If the current rankings in the Bundesliga hold till the end of the season. Bayern will see their decade of dominance end as they haven’t lost the title of German champions in ten years. For the moment, however, neither the club nor Bayern have announced when the striker will return to action.

England’s growing injury concerns:

The English squad has been plagued with injuries in the run up to the June Euros 2024 in Germany. The Three Lions already have several key players in Luke Shaw, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kieran Trippier out injured, but fresh injuries to veteran Harry Kane and Kyle Walker have further weakened the English squad. Gareth Southgate will be hopeful of recovering these players soon as he will soon announce the England squad for the Euro 2024.
