Girona 0-3 Real Madrid player ratings as Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe strikes to take home full three points

Real Madrid returned to winning ways at the Estadio Montilivi on Saturday after defeating Girona 0-3 take advantage of Barcelona’s draw against Real Betis in the La Liga. Girona started the game better than the visitors as they maintained pressure and continued with their attacks. Real Madrid slowly grew into the game and Jude Bellingham drew the first blood in the 36th minute. The English international pounced upon a loose ball around the penalty box and gave the lead.

The second half was all about Real Madrid as Jude Bellingham set up Arda Guler for a goal and Modric with his outside of his boot found Kylian Mbappe who despite being in a tight angle found the back of the net to be the highest goal scorer in the team with nine goals

Goalkeeper

Paulo Gazzaniga: 5.7/10- The Argentine goalkeeper did not have a great night conceding three goals. He made four saves and his distribution was good with a passing accuracy of 88 percent.

Defenders

Miguel Gutierrez: 6.4/10- The Spanish defender had a fair game as he contributed both in defence as well as in attack. He maintained a passing accuracy of 91 percent as he created two chances for his team. He was also involved in five defensive actions and made six recoveries for his team.

Ladislav Krejci: 6.4/10- He was one of the brighter spots in central defence for Girona as he saved the team in multiple occasions. He tried to clip a ball down the line for Bryan Gil, but it’s overhit and it rolls out of play. He was show an yellow card for grabbing the shirt of Antonio Rudiger during their heated moment.

David Lopez: 5.9/10- Had a poor game but managed to keep a passing accuracy of 93 percent. He was involved in three defensive actions and made six recoveries for his team.

Arnau Martinez: 5.5/10-The Skipper was very awful in defence as Mbappe constantly exploited his from the right side of the pitch. He hardly made any defensive contribution for his side.

Oriol Romeu: 5.7/10- Had a poor game as he was all over the place with pressure from Federico Valverde and others. He was involved in five defensive actions and made two recoveries for his team. He was booked for a poor challenge on the substitute Yanez.

Ivan Martin: 5.9/10- He did not have a great game as the Madrid midfield completely took charge in the second half. He kept a passing accuracy of 96 percent and created multiple opportunities for his side during the first half.

Donny van de Beek: 6.7/10- Played a decent game for his team. He got the ball back on the right wing and flashed it across goal, hoping for Miovski to just get a touch on it but he was unable to. He got another chance through the right channel, where he took a shot on from a tight angle but went over the cross bar

Attackers

Bryan Gil: 6.1/10- During the first half he was visible and exerted a lot of pressure from the left side of the wing but in the second half he was not that much dominant as Madrid started to control the game. He had a shot from out the box which went wide of the cross bar.

Yaser Asprilla: 7.0/10- From the right wing he was pretty much active in the first half as Girona were completely in control of the play. During that time he cuts in onto his left foot from the right wing and takes the shot on, but hits it well wide of the target. He gave a great pass to Van De Beek for a shot but was high above the goal.

Bojan Miovski: 6.3/10- The striker did not have much to do as he did not take a single shot on goal. He had 21 touches in total and made one pass into the final third.

Substitutes

Arnaut Danjuma: 6.3/10- He was subbed on in place of Bryan Gil in attack around the 58th minute. He hit a shot but his cross-shot attempt was an easy save for Courtois.

Abel Ruiz: 6.0/10- He came on in place of Bojan Miovski as Girona tries to salvage something from the game.

Cristian Portu: 5.9/10- He was brought on to replace Donny Van De Beek around the 78th minute.

Manager

Michel: 5/10- They had a great start to the game but eventually faded out as Real Madrid grew into the game. He would be disappointed with the defending and will look to make a comeback in the next game.

 Thibaut Courtois: 8.0/10- The Belgian had a decent game between the sticks making four saves and also managed to keep a clean sheet. His distribution was also on the brighter side as his passing accuracy was 92 percent.

Ferland Mendy: 7.0/10- He went down inside the box and could be an injury scare for Ancelotti and was substituted around the 81st minute. He maintained a passing accuracy of 98 percent and was involved in two defensive actions.

Antonio Rudiger: 7.6/10- The German defender was great in defence today as he was active always making five clearances in the game. He was involved in six defensive actions and made five recoveries for his team. He was shown a yellow card as he engaged in a tussle with Krejci inside the box.

Aurelien Tchouameni: 7.5/10- Capped a solid defensive display for his team. He was involved in three defensive actions and made six recoveries for his team. In the game, He had a magnificient header around the 50th minute with his body turned away from goal but was saved.

Lucas Vazquez: 7.4/10- The Spanish right back was a bit nervy during the first half as Girona created a lot of pressure but eventually got through it. He maintained a passing accuracy of 88 percent and was involved in five defensive actions.

Luka Modric: 8.5/10- Had a great game for his team in midfield. He stepped up from a free kick and clipped the ball towards goal, over the Girona defence to find Tchouameni but was saved by Girona goalkeeper. Assisted the goal of Kylian Mbappe as he hold the ball and uses the outside of his boot to clip it to the forward.

Federico Valverde: 7.7/10- The Uruguayan midfielder had a decent game at the centre of the field maintaining a passing accuracy of 97 percent. He helped the team in defence as he was involved in eight defensive actions and made four recoveries for his team.

Jude Bellingham: 8.8/10- He was taken off as he was struggling with an injury and Ancelotti chose not to take any rish. Scored the first goal for his team as he was present at the right place at the right time. He also assisted the goal of Arda Guler.

Attackers

Arda Guler: 8.1/10- Scored the second goal for his team. He was played forward by Bellingham and defeated the Girona defenders with pace and calmly fired it across the goal to the far post with his left foot.

Kylian Mbappe: 7.6/10- Started the game a bit slow but was great in the second half. He got a shot off as he’s pushed over and it rolls towards the left corner, but Gazzaniga is there to collect. He was shown a yellow card for dissent. He also got a one on one chance with Gazzaniga but fired it wide. Scored the third goal for his team with a difficult finish after Modric clipped it to him.

Brahim Diaz: 6.9/10- He kept the pressure in attack from the left side of the pitch. In the first half, he struck a shot beautifully and with plenty of power after Bellingham held the ball and layed it to him, but Gazzaniga is there to keep it out with a diving save.

Carlo Ancelotti—7/10—Full three points for Don Carlo. Initially, he was not happy as he was seen shouting at Arda Guler, but his eyebrow magic was again on display as the Los Blancos were outstanding in the second half.
