Giorgi Mamardashvili sports Liverpool kit after completing transfer from Valencia
Giorgi Mamardashvili has completed his move from Valencia to Liverpool and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano posted a photo of the Georgian goalkeeper sporting the Reds’ kit. Mamardashvili was one of the standout keepers of Euro 2024, helping Georgia in their historic round of 16 run.
He has been a constant fixture for Valencia and has now completed a move to Merseyside. Mamardashvili, though, won’t move to Liverpool immediately as he’d spend the 2024-25 season on loan at Valencia. The Anfield club have agreed on a 35 million Euros deal to sign Mamardashvili. Here are more details of the deal from Fabrizio Romano:
“Liverpool and Valencia are now signing all docs for Giorgi Mamardashvili deal! It’s all sealed. Medical tests successfully completed yesterday and now contracts being signed. €35m package, sell-on clause and six year deal for Mamardashvili joining #LFC in 2025.”
Liverpool now have three top class goalkeepers in their ranks. Apart from the omnipresent Alisson Becker, Caoimhin Kelleher is also in the team. Mamardashvili has completed his move and will compete for a first-team spot from next season.
