Fulham win the battle for Tottenham’s Ryan Sessegnon amidst transfer interest from a rival club

As per the latest report from ‘GiveMeSport”, Premier League club Fulham has secured the signing of Tottenham Hotspur’s Ryan Sessegnon as a free agent. Apparently there was interest from their London rivals Crystal Palace as well, and the player was even reportedly training with the Eagles recently. But Fulham has succeeded in bringing him to the Craven Cottage before the start of the new season.

Sessegnon’s contract with Spurs ran out on 30 June 2024. Ever since then, he had been a free agent. Although it still remains to be seen how Marco Silva integrates him into his plans at Fulham, the left-back will be a handy option to have for the Cottagers’ Boss within his squad.

Antonee Robinson may still be the first-choice left-back for Silva going into the new campaign considering if he stays at the club this window. But Sessegnon will have the remaining pre-season fixtures to impress the club’s hierarchy and close in toward the first-team selection.

Ryan Sessegnon can play as a left-winger and a make-shift left-midfielder as well. After the departure of Bobby Decordova-Reid to Leicester City, Fulham may have wished to have that sort of versatile player in their roster. Now with the arrival of Sessegnon, Marco Silva will have that luxury going forward. In the last Premier League season, the 24-year-old played 17 games for Spurs and ended up netting two goals.
