Fulham reach agreement to sign Crystal Palace’s defender: Report

According to renowned football Journalist ‘David Ornstein’ from ‘The Athletic’, Fulham has an agreement in place with London-based Premier League rivals Crystal Palace to sign defender Joachim Anderson.

The report signifies that the Eagles have toned down their asking price for Anderson a bit and a deal in the region of about £30 million (including add-ons) is agreed upon between both Fulham and Palace at this point in time.

Both clubs are now reportedly working to get this move over the line by looking into the final aspects of the transfer.

Marco Silva’s Fulham has been extensively linked with a potential transfer for Joachim Anderson in the ongoing summer transfer window. Now, it seems like the Cottagers have finally managed to convince Crystal Palace’s hierarchy for the defender’s signing.

It remains to be seen how Silva slots in Anderson in his plans at the Craven Cottage. Since the departure of Tosin Adarabioyo to Chelsea in the window, Fulham’s defensive options did look quite restricted.

Calvin Bassey and Issa Diop started for Marco Silva’s side against Man United in the back four in their opening game of the 2024-25 Premier League season.

With the solid performances that Joachim Anderson delivered in the last campaign with Crystal Palace, he would certainly push Marco Silva’s instincts for a place in the starting eleven.
