France 0-0 Israel Player Ratings: Goalkeeper Peretz Denies Les Bleus
France has qualified for the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals, but the players and fans will be disappointed with the performance. Israel, on the other hand, would be delighted as it is their first point of the tournament in the penultimate game.
Raz Shlomo had the best chance of the game today, but he failed to connect with the ball when he was open in front of the goal and just 4 yards out. Bradley Barcola had a good chance to give France the lead, but he, too, failed to score just before halftime.
Warren Zaïre-Emery and Christopher Nkunku had the best chances of the second half, but Daniel Peretz pulled off stunning saves to deny both of them. He played a key role as the match ended goalless.
France Player Ratings vs Israel
Mike Maignan – 7.5: Did not have to make a single save in the first half, but was called into action early in the second half.
Defenders
Jules Koundé – 7: Spent most of the game in the attacking phase and hardly had anything to do defensively. He could not do much today and his crosses was wayward.
Ibrahima Konaté – 7.5: Solic defensively once again but should have done a lot better with the chance he had to score. That could have easily been the difference between the two sides.
Dayot Upamecano – 7.5: Stayed back and helped his side avoid any counterattacks from Israel. Got a lot of help from Konate and Kante and that made his life easy on the pitch.
Theo Hernández – 7.5: Kept going until the end of the match but just could not deliver the ball into the box when needed. Was linking up well with Barcola and Coman, but just not enough.
Midfielders
Warren Zaïre-Emery – 8.5: Should have scored in his final minutes of the pitch but was denied by Peretz with a brilliant save. He was the best player on the pitch once again after N’Golo Kante.
N’Golo Kanté – 9: A typical Kante performance as he rolled back years and showed his teammates how things are done. He was up and down the pitch whenever needed
Eduardo Camavinga – 8.5: Got booked in the first half and was fouled in the box just before half-time. However, the referee and VAR did not believe it was a foul, and he was lucky it did not result in a second yellow.
Forwards
Michael Olise – 8: Good but not good enough. Always tried to make things happen in the final third but just could not get the final ball into the right place.
Randal Kolo Muani – 6: Was rather wasteful when he was playing up front today. He was second-guessing himself more often than not, and that helped Israel’s defenders get to the ball.
Bradley Barcola – 7: A complete miskick from 6 yards out in the first half was a shocker. He should have slotted it in with ease as the goalkeeper was not in position and still missed.

Israel Player Ratings vs France
Goalkeeper
Daniel Peretz – 9.5: Israel’s best player on the pitch by a mile. He made some excellent saves, including one from close range to deny Warren Zaïre-Emery, and a 96th minute save to deny Christopher Nkunku.
Defenders
Sagiv Jehezkel – 7: Got booked for a silly foul on Hernandez early in the second half. The booking will result in him missing the final match of the group stage in the UEFA Nations League.
Idan Nachmias – 7.5: Was the pick of the Israel defense today but committed a silly foul to get booked in the 70th minute.
Raz Shlomo – 7: Missed an easy chance to give Israel the lead in the first half. It was their best chance in the match and it would have made a huge difference.
Sean Goldberg – 7.5: Came to the pitch with one aim in mind – to ensure that France do not get any easy chance to score. He was brilliant in keeping the opponents marked and ensured that they did not get space to shoot.
Liel Abada – 7: Sloppy in defence and was getting beaten easily. Should have done a lot better but stayed back to help full game.
Midfielders
Manor Solomon – 6.5: Did his best until he was taken off. He was always the focal point in their attack but never got the support he needed.
Mahmoud Jaber – 7: Might have just not been on the pitch as he was never involved. Played the full match but attempted just 18 passes, completing 14 of them.
Mohammad Abu Fani – 7.5: Pick of the Israel outfielders today. He kept trying to bring his forward, but never got the help from those around him.
Oscar Gloukh- 6: Started as a left winger but played 90% of the time in the defensive half. He played 84 minutes, but most of the time was helping out defensively.
Forwards
Dor Turgeman – 6.5: His best contribution was the kick off, nothing else.
