FPL Price Changes – rises, falls and most transfers in/out for GW 22
Gameweek 22 of the Fantasy Premier League season is soon going to be upon us, in the context of that it is important to look at how the last GW went. Gameweek 21 took place last weekend and threw up several interesting things to take note of. The stars of the show in the previous GW were Amad of Manchester United who managed a tally of 20 points, Alexander Isak who had a total of 16 points from Newcastle, and Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace who too managed a tally of 15 points. The highlight of the weekend is the game between Brentford and Liverpool. A slip-up for Liverpool could prove costly in the long run and Brentford are well known as a potential banana skin, especially at home.
FPL risers
Player | Club | Price |
Martin Dubravka | Newcastle | £4.3m |
Daniel Munoz | Crystal Palace | £4.8m |
Chris Wood | Nott’m Forest | £6.9m |
Amad Diallo | Man Utd | £5.5m |
Alexander Isak | Newcastle | £9.4m |
Chris Wood (Nottingham Forest) £6.9m
Chris Wood is a striker, who is currently having an exceptional season. When considering only forwards, only Erling Haaland surpasses him in total points this season in Fantasy Premier League. Wood has been essential as Nottingham Forest climbs to 2nd place in the Premier League standings. He has scored 13 goals in the Premier League so far and has greatly aided this enhancement in performance relative to the previous two seasons. This weekend, Forest competes against a Southampton team that is at the bottom of the table, with Wood likely to amplify their struggles.

Martin Dubravka (Newcastle) £4.3m
While referring to him as a Newcastle legend may be excessive, Martin Dubravka has undoubtedly made a significant impact on the club. Anticipated to head to the Middle East this month, Dubravka unexpectedly began starting matches with Nick Pope out for an extended period. It is yet to be determined if Newcastle will acquire a goalkeeper this month, although it seems improbable. Dubravka is projected to be in goal as Newcastle faces Wolves this weekend. The experienced keeper has recorded 14 saves and maintained 5 clean sheets in the 6 matches he has begun.
Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace) £4.8m
Even though Crystal Palace began the season poorly, they have shown improvement recently. Under the guidance of Oliver Glasner, their tactics heavily rely on their wingbacks, and in this regard, right wingback Daniel Munoz has been performing exceptionally well. The Colombian player, who joined last season, has scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist while frequently invading threatening attacking areas. As he proved against Manchester City earlier this season, he has been skillfully positioning himself for scoring opportunities and capitalizing on them. He will probably encounter similar scenarios again as his team gets ready for a match against West Ham this weekend.
FPL fallers
Player | Club | Price |
Luis Diaz | Liverpool | £7.5m |
Pedro Porro | Spurs | £5.4m |
Jarrod Bowen | West Ham | £7.3m |
Casemiro | Man Utd | £4.7m |
Dejan Kulusevski | Spurs | £6.4m |
Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) £7.3m
Jarrod Bowen has incurred a foot injury and will therefore be unable to participate in Premier League matches in the coming weeks. He has undergone surgery for the injury but is anticipated to be sidelined for approximately 2 months. He is an extremely reliable FPL asset and was therefore owned by many, resulting in a scenario where several individuals have had to seek replacements for the West Ham winger, which has led to his price decreasing. It will be fascinating to see if the Hammers drastically struggle in the absence of their vital player as they look to improve under Graham Potter.
Luis Diaz (Liverpool) £7.5m
Luis Diaz actually started the season with a bang and has 8 goals and 2 assists. However, that being said, it does seem that he has fallen out of favour at Liverpool. Cody Gakpo has taken on the left wing role and Diogo Jota’s return from injury means he has taken on the number 9 role. This means that Diaz has now lost some importance for the Reds who top the table. It remains to be seen whether the Colombian will be put on the market by Arne Slot. For now, though, FPL managers are getting him out of their team.
Pedro Porro (Spurs) £5.4m
Pedro Porro has been a favourite for FPL managers over the last couple of seasons. However, lately, he has just not been good. Spurs are defensively very suspect, partly due to injuries and partly due to structure and form. The Spanish fullback has been nowhere near the attacking presence he was previously, so much so that if not for injuries, perhaps Djed Spence would have overtaken him. That’s what FPL managers have been getting rid of. Spurs need to improve and so does Porro.
