FPL Price Changes – rises, falls and most transfers in/out for GW 16
Gameweek 16 of the Fantasy Premier League season is soon going to be upon us. In the context of that it is important to look at how the last GW went. Gameweek 15 took place last weekend and threw up several interesting things to take note of. The stars of the show in the previous GW were Cole Palmer of Chelsea, who managed 18 points, Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford who managed a tally of 13 points and Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest who also managed a tally of 13 points. The fixtures to keep an eye out for this week are the Manchester derby between Manchester City and Manchester United. Pep Guardiola’s side are in dreadful form and will be looking to turn it around against their big rivals.

Kevin De Bruyne | Manchester City | £9.5m |
Amad Diallo | Manchester United | £5.1m |
William Saliba (Arsenal) £6.2m
William Saliba is an inform defender in the Premier League right now. As the fixtures begin to pile up and the others on Arsenal’s backline are out with injury, Saliba has assumed the role of the leader is not only continuously dishing out some excellent defensive performances but also has been Arsenal’s biggest goalscoring threat. In fact, Arsenal have only been scoring from corners presently and Saliba has found the back of the net in consecutive games. A relatively easy fixture list awaits so this might be the time to get him.
Cole Palmer (Chelsea) £11.1m
Last month, Cole Palmer was deemed to be out of form. Well that considered, it has been a pretty incredible return to form. The Englishman has returned 33 points in his last 3 games. Against Tottenham in the London derby last weekend, he was again fantastic, picking up an assist along with scoring two penalties, the second of which was an absolutely ridiculous Panenka. Chelsea are beginning to look really good and could soon be considered to be in the title race, inspired by the brilliance of Palmer.

Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea) £5.0m
If Chelsea’s entry into the title race is being inspired by Palmer, it is being led from the front by their captain Enzo Fernandez. Not long ago, there was doubt about whether the big-money signing had a place in the Chelsea side. But in the last month, Enzo Maresca has given the license to his namesake to play with freedom and attack the box. This has changed everything for the Argentine as he has notched 9 goal contributions in his last 6 games in Chelsea colors. It remains to be seen whether he can continue this fantastic form.

Player | Club | Price |
Joao Felix | Chelsea | £6.0m |
Emile Smith Rowe | Fulham | £5.5m |
Erling Haaland | Manchester City | £14.9m |
Josko Gvardiol | Manchester City | £6.1m |
Wesley Fofana | Chelsea | £4.4m |
Luis Díaz | Liverpool | £7.4m |
Rodrigo Bentancur | Spurs | £4.9m |
Ederson | Manchester City | £5.4m |
Bryan Mbeumo | Brentford | £7.6m |
Danny Welbeck | Brighton | £5.8m |
Danny Welbeck (Brighton) £5.8m
Danny Welbeck has been in the Premier League for a long, long time. His form at the start of this season therefore had been somewhat surprising as he notched 6 goals within the first few matches. However, over the last few game weeks, this has regressed to mean. In his last 6 games, across competitions, Welbeck has only managed a solitary assist. Joao Pedro being in incredible form as well as Evan Ferguson returning from injury meaning that it is likely that the 34 year old might start the next few games from the bench. This is why he is falling in price in FPL.
Ederson (Manchester City) £5.4m
Ederson has long been a dependable FPL asset, if not the most exciting. After all, four-time defending champions Manchester City have always been largely solid in defence and Ederson has been a fixture in Pep Guardiola’s team sheet in a way that others haven’t. But as City have found themselves in terrible form, with just a solitary win in their last 9 games, Ederson has found himself on the bench. It has now been 3 consecutive games where Pep Guardiola has preferred Stefan Ortega between the posts over the Brazilian despite there being no fitness worries. This situation is one to keep an eye on.
Joao Felix (Chelsea) £6.0m
Chelsea are in fantastic form but Joao Felix is not one of the beneficiaries of this run of form. The resurgence of Jadon Sancho meant that it is him and Noni Madueke who have been rotated alongside fixtures in the lineup in the form of Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson and Pedro Neto. It seems like Felix’s time at Chelsea is a photocopy of his time at Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, fleeting moments of brilliance amidst a sea of inconsistency. So far, he has only played 294 minutes in the Premier League with a goal and an assist.
