Matchday 18 of the Premier League 2024/25 season will be another fascinating chapter in one of the most tightly contested English seasons of all time. Those at the top will look to cement their leads and try to dethrone their competitors. While the clubs struggling at the bottom will attempt to climb up the ladder. Here is a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the fitness and availability reports of the 20 Premier Leagues ahead of matchday 18.

Arsenal

For Arsenal, the most painful and the most devastating absence will be of Bukayo Saka. The English winger has injured his hamstring and is estimated to be out until February. Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Raheem Sterling are also ruled out for the Gunners. There are also looming doubts over the presence of Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Aston Villa

Unai Emery will be glad and delighted to have his full squad available against Newcastle. There are doubts over the participation of Jacob Ramsey but he should get the green light from the medical team.

Bournemouth

Julian Araujo, Marcos Senesi, Alex Scott, Luis Sinisterra, and Marcus Tavernier will remain on the sidelines for the Cherries on matchday 18.

Brentford

Brentford has unfortunately been one of the unluckiest teams when it comes to injury woes this season. Thomas Frank will have several key absentees for the match against Brighton. Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey, Josh Dasilva, Mads Roerslev, Mathias Jensen, Ethan Pinnock, Sepp van den Berg, Gustavo Gomes, and Thiago Rodrigues are all injured and unavailable.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton will unfortunately have a plethora of absentees for the game against Brentford. Adam Webster, James Milner, Ferdi Kadioglu, Solly March, and Jack Hinshelwood are the names currently sidelined by injury issues.

Chelsea

A flying Chelsea side will take on Fulham next in the Premier League. Benoit Badiashille, Reece James, Wesley Fofana, and Romeo Lavia will not be able to take part in the fixture owing to respective injury woes. Chelsea fans will be delighted to hear the news of club captain, Reece James’ return to training in the recent days.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace’s manager, Oliver Glasner will have to tackle the Bournemouth threat without the services of Eberechi Eze, Chadi Riad, Adam Wharton, and Matheus Franca.

Everton

Dwight McNeil (Knee Injury), James Garner (Muscle Injury), Tim Iroegbunam (Leg Injury), and Youssef Chermiti (Foot Injury) will not travel with the rest of the squad to Manchester.

Fulham

Ipswich Town

Sam Morsy (Suspended), Axel Tuanzebe (Hamstring Injury), Chiedozie Ogbene (Achilles Tendon Injury), Cieran Slicker (Muscle Injury), and George Hirst (Knee Injury) will not be available for Ipswich Town on matchday 18.

Leicester City

Jamie Vardy (Knock), Odsonne Edouard (Knock), Jakub Stolarczyk (Ankle Injury), Abdul Fatawu (Cruciate ligament injury), Ricardo Pereira (Hamstring Injury), Mads Hermansen (Groin Injury), and Wilfred Ndidi (Thigh Injury) will be the names on the injury list for Leicester City.

Liverpool

The Premier League leaders and the champions-elect will only have to deal with the absence of Conor Bradley and Ibrajima Konate. The French defender is recovering from a serious knee injury and is scheduled to return in early January.

Manchester City

Manchester City will be glad with the news of Oscar Bobb returning soon to training. Ederson, Matheus Nunes, John Stones, and Ruben Dias are also short-term absentees for Pep Guardiola. The most painful absence is that of Rodri who will not be able to return for the remainder of the campaign.

Manchester United

Mason Mount has sadly suffered a fresh injury scare and will remain on the sidelines till early March. Luke Shaw will also have to sit out due to a hamstring injury. Victor Lindelöf is recovering from a concussion and there are still doubts over his participation.

Newcastle United

Callum Wilson, Emil Krafth, Jamaal Lascelles, Nick Pope, and Sven Botman will not be a part of the matchday squad for Newcastle United against Aston Villa.

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest has been the pleasant surprise of the 2024/25 Premier League season. Danilo (broken ankle), Ibrahim Sangare (Hamstring Injury), and Nicolas Dominguez (Suspended) will not be available for selection.

Southampton

Gavin Bazunu (Achilles Tendon Injury), Ross Stewart (Calf Injury), Juan Larios (Knock), and William Smallbone (Hamstring Injury) will not be available for Southampton on matchday 18.

Tottenham Hotspur

Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Mikey Moore, Richarlison, Guglielmo Vicario, and Wilson Odobert are on the list of unavailable players for Ange Postecoglou.

West Ham

Striker, Michail Antonio was unfortunately involved in a terrible car accident and has broken his leg. The initial diagnosis has ruled him out until early May at least. He will be joined by Konstantinos Mavropanos and Lucas Paqueta on the list of unavailable players.

Wolves

Vitor Pereira will be delighted to see several players return to fitness during his appointment as the Wolves manager. Boubacar Traore, Enso Gonzalez, Pablo Sarabia, Sasa Kalajdzic, and Yerson Mosquera will not be available for selection.
