2 | Chris Wood | Nottingham Forest | £7.3m | 172 points | Ipswich Town |

5. Beto – Everton |60 points | £5.1m

The appointment of David Moyes has rejuvenated Everton once again. More than anything else, it is the impact he has had on Beto. The forward was brought in after some impressive performances in Serie A for Udinese a few years ago. However, since joining the Toffees, things haven’t quite gone his way. Yet, after Moyes’s arrival, the story has shifted dramatically. Beto has been named the main striker for the squad, and it has brought great benefits for them. All of his starts in the Premier League have happened in the last few weeks, and he has netted 6 goals. Given West Ham’s defense, he could accomplish it once more.
4. Yoane Wissa – Brentford | 124 points | £6.5m

Brentford have experienced a season with ups and downs, and notably, while their performance away from home has been quite poor, they excel at the GTech stadium. This weekend, they face Leicester City, who have struggled since their promotion to the Premier League. Yoane Wissa has proven to be a reliable striker in the Premier League. He has made the tough task of stepping in for Ivan Toney appear relatively straightforward for Brentford. Wissa is in excellent form, having scored 12 goals and provided 3 assists this season. With the Bees set to play against Bournemouth this weekend, Wissa has the potential to earn significant points.
3. Liam Delap – Ipswich Town | 106 points | £5.6m

The offspring of a celebrated Premier League figure, Liam Delap aims to create his own legacy in the league, and he has made a remarkable start. He completed his education at the Manchester City academy alongside players such as Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers, and even though his ascent to the top has taken a bit longer, he has reached it now. The 21-year-old has netted 10 out of the 26 goals that Ipswich has scored, which have resulted from a modest total of 51 attempts. Delap appears to be a tall, strong runner with adept movement within the penalty box. He certainly has a promising future as a forward in the Premier League. With a game against Nottingham Forest scheduled this week, Delap has the opportunity to boost his goal count.
2. Chris Wood – Nottingham Forest | 172 points | £7.3m

Chris Wood is a number nine currently having a remarkable season. When considering only forwards, no one surpasses him in total points this season in Fantasy Premier League. Wood has been essential as Nottingham Forest rises to 3rd place in the Premier League standings. He has scored 18 goals in the Premier League thus far and has greatly aided this enhancement in performance compared to the previous two seasons. This weekend, Forest encounters an Ipswich team that is at the bottom of the table, with Wood likely to escalate their misery.
1. Erling Haaland- Manchester City | 167 points | £14.7m

Erling Haaland is arguably the best striker in the world but this season has been a very mixed one. While he is the second highest scorer in the league, he has failed to inspire Manchester City to a title challenge this season. He has scored 20 goals, the second most in the league after Mo Salah. That being said, there should be no arguments as to the quality of the Norwegian. He is the most lethal still in the league and more often than not it has been the service that has let him down this season. Haaland and Manchester City take on lowly Leicester City this weekend, and it is expected that he can score a lot
As we turn our attention to Gameweek 29, the Premier League has a thrilling set of fixtures lined up. The highlight of the weekend is the game between Chelsea and Arsenal. Both teams aren’t in particularly good form, and look like they are in dire need of some inspiration. It is also important to note that this is a Blank Gameweek with Liverpool, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace all not playing.
The deadline for GW29 is on 15th March.
