Top 5 Best Forwards to pick for Fantasy Premier League GW27
Rank | Player | Club | Price | Points | GW26 Opponents |
1 | Ollie Watkins | Aston Villa | £8.9m | 133 points | Crystal Palace |
2 | Evan Ferguson | West Ham | £5.5m | 121 points | Leicester City |
3 | Liam Delap | Ipswich Town | £5.6m | 103 points | Manchester United |
4 | Omar Marmoush | Manchester City | £7.1m | 23 points | Tottenham Hotspur |
5 | Beto | Everton | £5.0m | 56 points | Brentford |
5. Beto – Everton | 56 points | £5.0m

The hiring of David Moyes has revitalized Everton yet again. More than anything, it has been the influence he has had on Beto. The forward was acquired after some outstanding displays in Serie A for Udinese, a couple of years back. However, since joining the Toffees, things haven’t really worked out for him. Yet, following Moyes’s arrival, the narrative has changed completely. Beto has been appointed the primary striker for the team, and it has yielded rewards for them. All of his 5 starts in the Premier League have occurred in the past 5 weeks, and he has scored 5 goals. Considering Brentford’s defense, the striker might repeat the feat once again.
4. Omar Marmoush – Manchester City | 23 points | £7.1m

Manchester City experienced a rather poor start to the season, prompting them to make significant investments during the January transfer window. Omar Marmoush arrived for a substantial fee after having contributed an impressive 33 goals in the first half of the season with Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany, across the Bundesliga, the DFB Pokal, and the Europa League. He has adapted quite nicely too, netting a remarkable hattrick against Newcastle United recently. He has shown a lot of potential and all signs are positive. He will aim to exploit the space left behind by the Spurs’ fullbacks to launch his attacks with his quick pace and given Spurs’ defensive frailties, it will not be surprising if the Egyptian gets some big points.
3. Liam Delap – Ipswich Town| 103 points | £5.6m

The child of a renowned Premier League icon, Liam Delap seeks to forge his own legacy in the league, and he has gotten off to an impressive beginning. He completed his tenure at the Manchester City academy alongside players like Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers, and even though his path to the summit has taken a bit longer, he has made it now. The 21-year-old has scored 10 out of the 24 goals that Ipswich has scored, which have come from a modest total of 48 shots. Delap seems to be a tall, powerful runner with skillful movement within the penalty area. He certainly has a bright future as a forward in the Premier League and with a leaky Manchester United team on the calendar this week, Delap has the chance to increase his goal tally.
2. Evan Ferguson – West Ham | 21 points | £5.5m

Honestly there hasn’t been much to write home about Evan Ferguson this season. The main reason behind it is the fact that he has barely had any playing time over the entire season. New Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler doesn’t seem to rate him all that much but his old boss Graham Potter obviously does and that is why West Ham have bought him once again. He has not had too much game time but it now feels like he’s ready to go. He could well add to his one league goal against Leicester City this season.
1. Ollie Watkins – Aston Villa | 133 points | £8.9m

Much of the attention concerning Aston Villa forwards has been aimed at Jhon Duran this season, who has recently moved to Saudi Arabia. This is in part because Ollie Watkins, who performed exceptionally well last season, has had a sluggish start this season. Nevertheless, he has been performing remarkably well lately. He has already netted 12 goals and delivered 5 assists this season, which exceeds Duran’s figures. He has contributed to 5 goals in his last 5 matches across all competitions, highlighting his impressive form. This weekend, Villa is set to compete against Crystal Palace, with Watkins expected to deliver the results.
As we turn our attention to Gameweek 27, the Premier League has a thrilling set of fixtures lined up. The highlight of the weekend is the game between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. The latter side are improving of late and have always been a thorn in the side of Pep Guardiola’s team. City on the other hand are finding it very difficult to leave their slump in form.
The deadline for GW27 is on 25th February.
