1 | Nicolas Jackson | Chelsea | £8.2m | 89 points | Everton |
2 | Alexander Isak | Newcastle | £8.7m | 80 points | Ipswich Town |

5. Chris Wood – Nottingham Forest | 90 points | £6.6m
Chris Wood is someone who is in the midst of a fantastic season. In terms of strikers, only Erling Haaland is ahead of him in total points this season in Fantasy Premier League. Wood has been instrumental as Nottingham Forest have risen up to 4th in the Premier League table. He has scored 10 times in the Premier League so far and has been a massive reason behind this upturn in form. This weekend, Forest takes on Brentford who albeit dangerous at home, are defensively suspect. Wood is expected to deliver.

4. Yoane Wissa – Brentford | 75 points | £6.2m
Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo are presently among the best-attacking duos in the Premier League. The former has been one of the more underrated strikers in the Premier League for some time now. This season, he has been on the scoresheet 9 times already despite having been out with injury for some time. Even though their game this weekend is against a strong Nottingham Forest side, Wissa is expected to deliver the goods. This is because Brentford play at home and they have been fantastic there and would be first if points were only given for home games.
3. Erling Haaland – Manchester City | 100 points | £14.9m
Erling Haaland is an interesting one. On one hand, since coming to the Premier League, he would have made this list every single week. However, Manchester City’s recent form has reached a record low. Across the last 11 games in all competitions, they have won once. In this run, Haaland has scored only 4 times, a massive drop-off from his usually lofty standards. This weekend, City faces Aston Villa. While that in no way is an easy game to win, the derby loss to Manchester United would have undoubtedly hurt and it is expected that City will be much more inspired next week. Haaland’s credentials, quality or goalscoring prowess is not one to be doubted. Even though he has been misfiring alongside his team for almost a couple of months now, it is still the Norwegian who leads the Premier League Golden Boot race. That being said, however, improvement is still warranted.
2. Alexander Isak – Newcastle | 80 points | £8.7m
Alexander Isak is a special footballer. He is a big, tall striker but plays with the grace of a silky, winger. This season has been a weird one for Newcastle as they struggled to really get any sort of consistency going, despite showing sparks multiple times. The Swedish striker has scored 7 times this season and assisted 4 times but recently has hit really good form. He has had good returns in each of the last three games. This weekend, Newcastle are playing a poor Ipswich Town side who have struggled defensively in the Premier League. Expect Isak to score.
1. Nicolas Jackson- Chelsea | 89 points | £8.2m
Nicolas Jackson is presently one of the most versatile and in-form forwards in the Premier League. His last game against Brentford was exceptional, earning him a goal during the contest. He has already found the net 9 times along with 4 assists in the Premier League this season. Alongside the rest of Chelsea’s young attack, he has formed a dangerous partnership, and he has stepped up throughout this season. Chelsea has shown significant improvement this season, and their game this weekend is against Everton. Sean Dyche’s team isn’t particularly performing well at this time, and Chelsea, energized by the chaos created by Jackson, could have a solid performance here.
As we turn our attention to Gameweek 17, the Premier League has a thrilling set of fixtures lined up. The highlight of the weekend is the intense fixture between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool. Tottenham Hotspur are in form, having put 5 past Southampton the previous weekend while Liverpool are top of the table despite having dropped points in the previous weekend.
The deadline for GW17 is on December 21st.
