“We made Cucurella look like Roberto Carlos” – Tottenham Hotspur slammed for poor performance against Chelsea
Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara slammed Spurs for losing to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge yesterday. The former player who is now working as pundit admitted that he was not happy with Ange Postecoglou’s side playing for the whole game.
O’Hara is so frustrated that he feels a player like Marc Cucurella could look great during the game. The Spanish has been one of the most criticised players this season. He has failed to replicate the performance when he was still playing for Brighton.

However in the game against Spurs, Cucurella’s performance appeared to be not that bad for O’Hara. “We made Cucurella look like Roberto Carlos,” he said via Talksport. “It was doing my head in just watching him.
“It just annoys me. It actually was annoying me. He’s been terrible all season, now he’s playing like Guti in there. What’s going on? Someone get hold of him.”
With a defeat at Stamford Bridge, Spurs failed to narrow the gap from Aston Villa who sit fourth on the table. The Lilywhites lead the race for a Europa League spot alongside Newcastle United and Manchester United.
A win against Chelsea could have opened their way for another lucky shot for the Champions League spot race. Spurs now sit fifth, trailing seven points from Aston Villa who collected 67 points.
