Barcelona Transfer News: Pedro will not think twice to rejoin the Spanish giants
Pedro will become a free agent this summer once his contract at Lazio expires. The Spaniard has not expressed any desire to retire and has now revealed that he would be happy to return to Barcelona. He said:
“If Xavi calls me, I’ll take a quick flight…”
It is not the first time Pedro has expressed his willingness to return to the Catalan side. He spoke to Beteve’s La Porteria in 2023, and the Lazio star said:
“If they tell me and Xavi calls me, before he hangs up and regrets it, I’ll come. Barca is my home, that does not mean that I do not defend 100% the club where I am now [Lazio]. Barca is my team, it is very complicated for me to return, due to many factors, due to age, but I would love to. Retiring from Barca would be spectacular, but since I see it as far away and difficult , it’s something I’m not even thinking about.”
Barcelona Transfer News: Pedro wants Xavi to remain at the Catalan club
Pedro was talking to the media today and stated that he wants Xavi to remain at Barcelona. He believes Rafa Marquez will be a suitable replacement and said:
“I would have preferred Xavi to stay, it’s a pity because he is not only a great coach but also a friend. I really hope he’s considered if Xavi decides to leave. I wish Rafa all the best and hope he becomes the coach of Barcelona.”

“I have a lot of confidence in Xavi. He is a coach who gives everything, he has very good ideas of what he wants to do, which is to take Barca as high as possible.”
Pedro played 321 matches for Barcelona before moving to Chelsea. He then transferred to AS Roma for a season, before joining their rivals Lazio in 2021.
