  • CONMEBOL: 6 slots, with four to winners of the continent’s Champions League winners of the past four seasons (2021-2024), and rest determined through rankings.

What to Expect from the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup

Intense, Intriguing, closely-fought matches are expected when champions of all competitions will battle against each other. Let’s have a look at some of the top teams among these top sides to look forward to.

Potential Favourites

  • Manchester City: The defending champions are still ruling the club football scenario, are English champions and are under the guidance of genius tactician Pep Guardiola. City not defending it will be a shocker.
  • Real Madrid: The most successful team in the competition, Real Madrid are also favourites. They have been the champions of Europe for most times, and being a favourite in Europe automatically reflects their potential.

Underdogs

  • Inter Miami: The South Florida side wouldn’t have been in the picture if USA weren’t the hosts. But, now they are and they have former FC Barcelona legends like Suarez, Busquets, Alba and the greatest ever aka Lionel Messi. The side is ruling MLS, & might be a headache for top teams with legends representing them.
