Fantasy Premier League: Predicted Lineups | Team News | Injury Updates | FPL GW 14

The pre-match press conferences for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 14 kicked off on Thursday, featuring discussions with four Premier League managers. The article below provides the latest updates on team news.

Fantasy interest seemed relatively low, as only the managers of Everton, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, and Burnley held their press conferences. The remaining 16 top-flight bosses are scheduled to address questions on Friday evening or night.

A notable concern revolves around Ollie Watkins, who was absent from Aston Villa’s match against Legia Warsaw on Thursday. Unai Emery expressed optimism about the striker’s fitness, stating he was “hopeful” Watkins would recover.

Arsenal vs Wolves

For the Arsenal versus Wolverhampton Wanderers match, Fabio Vieira is unavailable due to both suspension and injury. The Gunners also continue to miss key players like Thomas Partey (muscle), Jurrien Timber (knee), and Emile Smith Rowe (knee). On a positive note, on-loan goalkeeper David Raya is back in contention after being ineligible for the previous game against Brentford in Gameweek 13. The team reported no fresh concerns following their Wednesday win over Lens.

Wolves, on the other hand, will be without Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes, who are suspended for this game. Injuries sideline Nathan Fraser (quad) and Joe Hodge (shoulder), while Craig Dawson returns from a one-match ban. There is anticipation for an update on Rayan Ait-Nouri’s (ankle) condition after he had to leave the field early in Wolves’ recent clash with Fulham on Monday.

However, Mathias Jensen (adductor) and Mads Roerslev (unspecified), who missed Gameweek 13 with minor issues, are anticipated to return for the Luton game. Mikkel Damsgaard (knee) is now injury-free and might feature after a 45-minute run-out in a recent friendly. Josh Dasilva (hamstring) is nearing a comeback, but it’s assumed he won’t be ready for this weekend’s match.

Luton Town could see the return of Issa Kabore, who missed the previous game against Crystal Palace due to a concussion. The availability of Marvelous Nakamba, who missed Gameweek 13 due to a swollen knee, depends on the results of a further assessment conducted this week.

Daniel Potts (ankle), Mads Andersen (hamstring), Reece Burke (hamstring), Albert Sambi Lokonga (hamstring), and Cauley Woodrow (calf) have been sidelined for an extended period. Aston Villa’s Boubacar Traore is suspended for this match after receiving his fifth booking of the season. Long-term absentees Tyrone Mings (knee) and Emi Buendia (knee) continue to be sidelined. Nicolo Zaniolo has returned to training after a minor issue kept him out of Gameweek 13, but there is no update on Bertrand Traore, who picked up an injury after the November internationals. On the Fulham side, Joao Palhinha is set to return from suspension. However, Issa Diop (foot), Adama Traore (hamstring), Rodrigo Muniz (knee), and Tyrese Francois (knock) were unavailable for the Monday win over Wolves. Additionally, two unnamed squad members missed the TSC game due to illness, with Mohammed Kudus, Edson Alvarez, and Vladimir Coufal also absent.

Crystal Palace faces injury concerns in their midfield, with Eberechi Eze (ankle) and Cheick Doucoure (Achilles) coming off in the defeat to Luton last weekend.
