Everton vs Peterborough United Player Ratings: Mykolenko, Ndiaye, and Beto Shine as Toffees Secure FA Cup Win
Everton might be without a manager but they have managed to get into the 4th round of the FA Cup with a win over Peterborough United. Beto scored the opening goal of the match before Ndiaye sealed the win late in stoppage time.
Sean Dyche was sacked just hours ahead of the FA Cup clash but Everton players turned up and did well under Leighton Baines. They have eased into the fourth round and have managed to show that they can survive in the Premier League too.
Everton player ratings vs Peterborough United
Goalkeeper
Joao Virginia – 6: Did well when called into action and it was very little in the game. Made sure that the Toffees did not miss Jordan Pickford.
Defenders
Jake O’Brien – 7: Stayed back and never looked like he was going to get pulled out of position at any time. Won all his duels and also won a penalty right at the end of the match.
Micahel Keane – 7: Hardly had to do anything in the game but stayed put in his position and ensured that the away side did not get a lot of space.
Jarrad Brantwaite – 7.5: He too did not have a lot to do but was impressed every time he was called into action.
Midfielders
Nathan Patterson – 7.5: He was involved more in attack today than defense despite playing as a wing-back. Played just over 73 minutes and created 3 chances for his forwards.
Gana Gueye – 7.5: Played the whole match and was just outside the Peterborough box all the time. He was looking to keep the ball moving and also took a couple of shots.
Orel Mangala – 7: Made a mess of a shot and then almost scored eight minutes later. He was hot and cold the whole match.
Vitaliy Mykolenko – 8: Made a crucial block in the first half and then almost scored the second goal of the match for Everton early in the second half.
Harrison Armstrong – 7: Played just over an hour and was impressive in the game. He got the assist for the first goal and that was the only chance he created.
