Everton reach agreement for transfer of Napoli forward
Everton have reportedly reached an agreement for the transfer of Napoli forward Jesper Lindstrom. The player joined the Italian club back in the 2023 summer transfer window for a reported sum of about £24-26 million. However, Lindstrom has failed to break into the first team consistently.
The 24-year-old only had two starts to his name in the last Italian top-flight campaign. Moreover, he didn’t have any goals or assists to show for in these appearances. The links with Lindstrom for Everton made more sense because they were to be in the summer transfer window looking for a winger, and had further had three bids rejected for their initial target from Leeds United in the form of Wilfried Gnonto.
As per the latest developments embarked upon by ‘Sky Italia’, and backed by ‘One Football’, The Toffees have reached an agreement with Napoli for Jasper Lindstrom. As of now the initial details of a deal signifies the English club to acquire the player on a loan agreement. The loan deal reportedly includes an option for Everton to turn Lindstrom’s move to Goodison into a permanent transfer.
Everton is still required to finalize the terms of a personal agreement with the player and progress to the stage of scheduling his medicals to seal the move.
Lindstrom is well versed in playing as a left winger or a right winger and can play as an attacking midfielder as well if so the situation demands. The Denmark international’s most recent contract at Napoli is valid till June 2028.
