3. Cody Gakpo (Netherlands)
The Dutch striker had a great game against Poland and even scored an equalizer for his team in the first half from heavily-deflected shot. His ability to control the play down the left flank will benefit the Dutch immensely as he provides a constant outlet in case pressure mounts in other areas.
Gakpo passed the ball with 85% accuracy, including three key passes and two crosses. He completed all five of his dribbles and also won a remarkable 15 duels. With France up next, he will have to be at his sharpest.
2. Fabian Ruiz (Spain)
Ruiz put in a dominant performance against Croatia and ended that game with two goal contributions. Firstly, he provided an assist for Alvaro Morata’s opener in the 29th minute, before getting on the end of Pedri’s pass to make it 2-0 just three minutes later.
His eagerness to demand the ball and make things happen helped Spain greatly as they looked incomplete without a playmaker.
1. Jamal Musiala (Germany)
Having scored his team’s second goal at Euro 2024, Musiala grabbed his second goal against Hungary with a lovely finish. Ilkay Gundogan played Musiala through with a lovely pass to make it 1-0 to the Germans after 22 minutes of play.
With his dribbling, passing, shooting and game sense, Jamal Musiala is one of the most gifted midfielders in the world and it is no surprise he is at the centre of so many goals.
