Euro 2024 Most Assists: Taking a look at the players with most assists in the competition
Euro 2024 is well and truly underway with hosts Germany getting us off to a flyer with a thumping 5-1 win against Scotland in the opening game. Fellow group members Switzerland followed that up with a 3-1 win against Hungary.
Spain, Italy and The Netherlands secured routine wins in their respective games, while England dug deep to defeat Serbia by a narrow 1-0 margin. Romania secured a stunning 3-0 win against Ukraine, while Slovakia stunned Belgium 1-0. Portugal’s 2-1 win over Czechia completed Round 1.
Round 2 began with a bang as well, with Albania scoring a last-gasp leveller to secure a 2-2 draw against Croatia. Meanwhile, Germany secured their spot in the knockouts with a comfortable 2-0 win against Hungary. Scotland and Switzerland, on the other hand, played out a 1-1 draw.
Forty-two goals have been scored at the tournament, with the majority of them being set-up by teammates. Having said that, let’s take a look at the list of Euro 2024 Most Assists.
Euro 2024 Most Assists: Top Five
5. Kai Havertz (Germany)
The German forward had a great game against Scotland as he provided an assist for his team’s second goal scored by Jamal Musiala. Havertz then got on the scoresheet himself as he tucked away a penalty to make it 3-0 to his team before half-time.
Deployed as the focal point of his team’s attacking moves, Kai Havertz has developed some lovely link-up skills over the last couple of seasons, and will use those to get among the goal contributions more often as he currently occupies fifth spot on Euro 2024 Most Assists.
4. Pedri (Spain)
The Barcelona midfielder provided an assist for his team’s second goal scored by Fabian Ruiz with a brilliant pass. Overall, he completed 17 passes with 100% accuracy in that game against Croatia, and also won four duels and played three key passes.
Deployed on the right side of Spain’s midfield, Pedri‘s combination play with club teammate Lamine Yamal allows for more moves to happen naturally.

3. Ante Budimir (Croatia)
Budimir proved to be the ideal impact substitute for his team against Albania as he came on in the 69th minute and provided an assist just five minutes later. He set up Andrej Kramaric, who scored with ease to level the game for their country after 74 minutes.
His presence in and around the box and ability to also pick out passes is what separates him from the rest and makes him such a team player.
2. Thomas Muller (Germany)
He came on in the dying embers of his team’s dominant win against Scotland and still managed to carve a spot on the Euro 2024 Most Assists list. Muller provided the assist for Emre Can to score Germany’s fifth goal to ensure they ended the game on a high after conceding a late goal.
Muller’s ability to drop deep and facilitate play, combined with his natural goalscoring instincts make him a dangerous player. Despite being 34 years of age, he is an integral part of the squad.
1. Dennis Man (Romania)
Man had a great game against Ukraine as his team won 3-0. He provided an assist for the first goal scored by Nicolae Stanciu – a belter that nobody will forget about. Man also provided an assist for Denis Dragus’ second-half strike to make it 3-0 as the Romanians marched to a comfortable win.
Having played on the right flank in the first game, he could either be deployed in a more central role to help him maximise his skills or could retain the same role.
