Erling Haaland “will score more” than Mbappe says former England striker

Premier League teams are still searching for a way to stop Erling Haaland. The Norwegian sensation has taken the league by storm since joining Manchester City and his goal-scoring exploits show no signs of slowing down.

With four goals in his first two games this season Haaland’s numbers are staggering and he’s already being compared to legends like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Haaland’s manager Pep Guardiola at City couldn’t help but express his admiration after the striker’s recent hat-trick against Ipswich Town. “The numbers are ridiculous – he can compete in terms of goals with Cristiano and Messi,” Guardiola said.

“He’s very fast, he’s big, he’s strong. He is very difficult to mark and he’s prolific,” Lineker said. “He doesn’t worry about missing, which is one of the keys to goal-scoring.”

Lineker’s admiration for Haaland goes beyond his physical prowess. He highlighted the mental strength that allows Haaland to keep going despite missed chances. “To be a really good goal-scorer, you have to miss a lot of chances because that means you’re getting a lot of chances and will score if you’re a good finisher, which he is,” Lineker added.

But he acknowledged Haaland’s superior goal-scoring ability stating that Haaland will score more simply because of his position and playing style.
