Erling Haaland breaks FPL record: Priced higher than Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is set to become the most expensive player of all time in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL). He will break the record he previously shared with Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robin van Persie.
With the 2024-25 Premier League season just over a month away, FPL will also resume soon. It is expected to have multiple changes and additions this time around aimed at enhancing the experience of the managers.
One change that happens with some players ahead of every season is their price in the game. Erling Haaland will cost £15 million in FPL at the start of the 2024-25 season, making the most expensive player of all time.
Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Robin van Persie reached a high of £14 million, which was also Haaland’s starting price last season. Mohamed Salah and Frank Lampard, meanwhile, reached the highest starting price of £13 million.
Haaland’s price has been increased because of his previous points haul and his goal threat in the 2023-24 season. He recorded 121 shots, created 55 big chances, and had 57 shots on target, all of which were the highest among the Premier League players.
