Erik ten Hag desires to return to his old club in Bavaria
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag reportedly dreams of a return to Bayern Munich one day. The Dutchman was the head coach of Bayern’s B-team from 2013 to 2015, and wishes to manage the senior team some day. SPORT BILD journalist Christian Falk revealed the news, which was later reshared by a fan blog, Bayern & Germany, on X.
Ten Hag is currently guiding United and is hence not on Bayern’s wanted list. With Thomas Tuchel set to leave the club this summer, the Bundesliga champions are looking for a new manager for next season, and Ten Hag is seen as a possible option.

However, the Dutchman has a contract with the Red Devils until 2025, although his future could come under question. For several weeks, there were reports that Ten Hag could be gone this summer as United were underperforming. But their 4-3 defeat of Liverpool in the FA Cup has poured cold water over such speculations for now.
Should he become available though, Ten Hag’s name will be discussed at Bayern. United are into the semi-finals of the FA Cup. but have flattered to deceive in the Premier League, languishing in sixth position with 47 points from 28 games and winning only 15 times.

Manchester United were knocked out in the group stages of the Champions League after just one win and four points from six matches. The Red Devils were atrocious throughout, with a 1-0 win over Copenhagen on matchday three being their only high point of their campaign. Bayern were in their group too, and the Bavarians beat them home and away: 4-3 at the Allianz Arena and then 1-0 at Old Trafford.
