“Absolutely, I am the right manager to turn things around”- Erik ten Hag Comments on Club’s Record-Breaking Defeat
Manchester United‘s woes continued as they suffered a resounding 4-0 defeat against Crystal Palace marking their 13th Premier League loss of the season under the stewardship of Erik ten Hag.

The defeat saw Oliver Glasner’s side dominate proceedings and further solidifying United’s status as underperformers this season.
With a club-record 81 goals conceded, the Red Devils find themselves in uncharted territory with their defensive frailties exposed in a manner unseen since the 1976-77 campaign.
Under mounting pressure Ten Hag acknowledged the disappointment in his post-match remarks to Sky, as relayed by Ben Jacobs.
“It’s clear, this is underperforming. It’s by far not good enough. We are very disappointed. We should have kept fighting like the fans did,” he lamented.
Despite the setback, the Dutch manager vowed to persist, assuming responsibility for the team’s shortcomings and expressing determination to regroup ahead of their upcoming fixture against Arsenal.

Pressed on his ability to reverse United’s fortunes, Ten Hag remained resolute, asserting,
“Absolutely [I am the right manager to turn things around]. If the right players are available then we have a good squad. But when we miss almost our entire backline then we have problems.”
The defeat to Crystal Palace marks another low point in United’s season, with the Eagles completing the league double over the Manchester side.
With their goal difference now in the negative and European qualification prospects fading, United’s hopes rest on salvaging what remains of the campaign.
Against Palace, United appeared bereft of ideas, their lackluster performance epitomized by Casemiro’s struggles in an unfamiliar central defensive role.
While players share some culpability, questions are inevitably raised about the tactical decisions made by the manager, notably deploying players out of position.
As the season reaches its conclusion, United find themselves in eighth place, outside the European spots, with just three games remaining. Their clash against Arsenal looms large, presenting a stern test for Ten Hag and his embattled squad as they seek redemption in the face of adversity.
