Eric Garcia confirms he will play for Barcelona this season

The Barcelona defender who just won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics with the Spanish national team, has confirmed his stay at the club for the 2024/25 campaign. The 24-year-old defender does not contemplate his departure this summer.

The Catalan giants currently have eight central defenders in their ranks with Mikayil Faye and Clement Lenglet expected to leave the club in this transfer window. Eric Garcia excelled during his loan spell with Girona last season and has reportedly convinced Hansi Flick, who has given him full confidence.

Garcia will remain at Camp Nou this summer and will return at the heart of Barcelona’s defense alongside Olympic partner Pau Cubarsi.
