English Premier League Team of the Week: Game Week 17
The game week 17 of the English Premier League saw some big clashes over the week. The gameweek 17 saw the defending champions dropping points again as Pep’s team had to settle for a draw against Crystal Palace.
Owing to a great defensive performance from Varane and Onana, Manchester United came back with a point from Anfield, the place where they lost 7-0 last time around.

Andre Onana | Goalkeeper | Man United
Andre Onana has to have a place in this combined eleven after the solid performance he gave in the match against Liverpool. Though, the name may be a surprise for a few due to the in and out form of Onana. Klopp’s side had a massive 69% possession and made 34 shots on goal but the man between the sticks Andre Onana showed exemplary resilience to earn his team a point in Anfield against an in-form Liverpool.
Michael Keane | Center Back | Everton
Michael Keane takes the position of one of the center-backs in this combined eleven. The 30-year-old center-back produced a solid defensive performance against Burnley on Saturday. Besides, the solid defensive performance Keane was lethal in the attacking line with Calvert-Lewin. Keane’s great temperament with the ball helps the team a lot in counter-attacks.
Raphael Varane | Center Back | Man United
The other center-back has to be Raphael Varane. There were a lot of other options such as Ruben Dias or Romero but we will go with Varane for this week. With Lisandro Martinez out of action with an injury, the responsibility was upon the Frenchman to provide defensive solidity in the back.

Daniel Burn has to be in this position for the combined 11. Newcastle man played 84 minutes in the match against Fulham making crucial interceptions. Burn also provided the attacking threat down that left-wing side and scored a goal too. He made an immense 64 successful passes during the time he was on the field.
Kyle Walker | Right Back | Man City
Though Manchester City dropped points over the week, Kyle Walker provided a solid defensive performance against Crystal Palace. Making successful interceptions and providing the overlaps for City, Walker is a player with an immense arsenal in his pockets. The speed, strength, and flair of his is what is needed for a right-back. There is no doubt that he will retire as one of the best right-backs in the history of the game.
Bruno Guimaraes | Central Midfielder | Newcastle United
The 26-year-old has been impressive ever since he joined Newcastle. The former Lyon man showed a solid performance against Fulham too over the week. The Brazilian provided the cross for Burn’s goal making it a 3-0 win over Fulham. Besides this, Guimaraes also created five chances for his team.
Lucas Paqueta | Attacking Midfielder | West Ham United
The Brazilian flair that was missing from the team is fulfilled by the inclusion of Lucas Paqueta. Paqueta helped the Wolves to earn a crucial win against the Wolves. Jean-Philippe Matata | Forward | Crystal Palace
Matata, for a few years now has been playing a supportive role of Odsonne Edouard. However, after being 0-2 down at the Etihad, it was Matata who scored the first goal for Palace and also won the penalty for the second goal which Michael Olise scored the goal as Palace made a superb comeback.
Jack Grealish | Forward | Man City
