In a riveting week of Premier League football, we saw many thrilling and unexpected results as Arsenal played out a seven-goal thriller away at Kenilworth Road while 17th-placed Everton defeated the in-form Newcastle United at Goodison Park.
Liverpool also had a successful outing at Bramall Lane while an absolute thriller occurred at Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United took on Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
Declan Rice’s winner keeps the Gunners at the top
Top of the table, Arsenal traveled to Kenilworth Road to take on relegation side Luton Town in Premier League Gameweek 15. With the form they were in it looked like it would be an easy win for the Gunners but it proved to be a rather eventful night as it ended up being a seven-goal thriller with Declan Rice saving the day in the last minute of the game.
With the game beautifully poised at 3-3 after Kai Havertz’s equalizer in the 60th minute Declan Rice came up with a crisp header in the final minute of stoppage time via a Martin Odegaard cross.
The away section of the stadium erupted in joy as Mikel Arteta’s Gunners were successful in snatching the three points at the death making it 4-3 for the away side, remaining as the Table Toppers for another Gameweek. Arsenal are now set to face Unai Emery’s Aston Villa in the upcoming game week.

City was stunned at Villa Park while the Red Devils defeated the Blues
Talking about Aston Villa, they have been in some stellar form this season winning nine out of their opening fourteen games in the league. They faced Pep’s Manchester City in Gameweek 15 and successfully won the three points against the odds, as Leon Bailey’s finish halfway through the second half earned a 1-0 win for the Birmingham side at home.
Villa are now third in the table with 32 points in 15 games and are set to face Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in Gameweek 16.
Meanwhile, Man City’s City rivals, Manchester United hosted Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea at home. Scott McTominay’s brace won the game for Erik ten Hag’s side as Cole Palmer’s leveler proved to be nothing more than a consolation for the London Blues as United ran out 2-1 victors.
United are now sixth in the table, level with Ange Postecglou’s Tottenham on 27 points. They are set to face Bournemouth at home in their next Premier League game and will be looking forward to maintaining their current momentum to keep their fight on for a place in the Champions League qualification spots.
Newcastle United bested at Goodison Park while Liverpool won away at Bramall Lane
In-form and injury-ravaged Newcastle United squad travelled to Goodison Park to face 17th Placed Everton in the Premier League this week. The game promised to be tightly contested. Still, surprisingly it proved to be a one-sided affair as the Toffees comfortably defeated the Magpies 3-0, thanks to goals from Dwight McNeil, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Beto in the final 10 minutes of the game.
On the other hand, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool traveled to Bramall Lane to face the bottom of the table, Sheffield United. Thanks to goals from Dutchman Virgil Van Dijk and Dominik Szoboszlai, The Reds were successful in taking the three points back to Anfield. They are now set to travel to Selhurst Park to face Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace.
