England National Football Team Player Ratings vs Slovakia
Goalkeeper
Jordan Pickford – 6: Should have done a lot better for the goal and was lucky to have not conceded an embarrassing goal in the second half.
Defenders
Kyle Walker – 6: Never managed to get into the game and was always caught in two minds. Was having a tough time against Haraslin and Duda.
John Stones – 6.5: Best of the worst in the England side today. Did a decent job against Strelec when needed and was getting into the right positions.
Marc Guéhi – 6: Did well to play the full game after getting the early booking. Got the important assist in the dying seconds to force extra time.
Kieran Trippier – 6: Playing a right-footed player at left-back proved costly again as he was unable to deliver the crosses when needed. He had to cut in and that was helping the Slovakian defenders.
Midfielders
Kobbie Mainoo – 7: Unlucky to have got booked early in the game, but managed to do well until he was taken off late in the game. Was ready to drive forward at every opportunity.
Declan Rice – 6.5: Tried his best to keep the ball moving, but never managed to threaten the Slovakian defense. His shot in the 81st minute off the post was the closest England came to scoring in normal time.
Bukayo Saka – 6: Started at right-wing but was forced to play as a left-back in the final 30-odd minutes after Cole Palmer came on. Did not manage to do well in both positions.
Jude Bellingham – 7: Hardly got into the right position inside the box and was lucky to have not picked up a second booking for simulation. However, he got them the all-important goal in the dying seconds.
Phil Foden – 7: Poor game overall, but managed to slot the ball into the back of the net early in the second half. It was eventually ruled out as he ran ahead of the ball when he could have controlled his run and touched it in.
Forwards
Harry Kane – 6.5: Another poor performance from the England captain today. Did not manage to get many of his shots on target, including the free header he had in the 78th minute. However, he managed to get the goal in the opening minutes of extra time.

Slovakia National Football Team Player Ratings vs England
Goalkeeper
Martin Dúbravka – 6: Did not have to do much in the game, but couldn’t do much for the goals conceded either. While the first one was slotted into the opposite side he was moving, the second was a well-taken header.
Defenders
Peter Pekarík – 5.5: Spent most of the time defending, but never managed to get forward wen needed. This meant that the Slovakian attack one-sided and he could not do much for the second goal conceded.
Denis Vavro – 7: Played the entire match and was rock solid.
Milan Škriniar – 7: Played a brilliant game despite an early booking. Could have done better job marking the players for the two goals.
Dávid Hancko – 7.5: Pick of the Slovakian defenders as he was everywhere when needed. Was ready to launch attacks and also happy to sit back and give a tough time to Palmer and Saka.
Midfielders
Juraj Kucka – 6: Not a performance to remember for the midfielder. Managed just 31 touches in 81 minutes and completed 16 passes.
Stanislav Lobotka – 8: Top notch match from the midfielder. Could have done better with his shot late in the first 90, which could have doubled their lead and put the match beyond England’s reach.
Ondrej Duda – 7.5: A decent outing for the Slovakian star as he was ready to attack all the time. However, he did not get a shot away today.
Forwards
Ivan Schranz – 8.5: Slovakia’s best player at Euro 2024 without a doubt. Should have attacked more, but was involved in defending the lead than going for more goals.
David Strelec – 8: His miss early in the second half has come back to haunt him. It was an open goal and he could have taken a touch before launching the shot from the half line. However, he did get the assist for their only goal of the match.
Lukáš Haraslín – 6: Not his best match and was hooked off at the hour mark. Managed two shots, both blocked easily.
