In 2007: A young Edinson Cavani was signed by Palermo and was handed his Italian league debut against Fiorentina. However, he never found things going smoothly for him for the next three years, as the Uruguayan struggled to keep his starting position in the team.
In 2010-12: Despite signing a contract extension with Palermo, Edison Cavani left them to join another Serie A club Napoli on a loan deal, which was later made permanent.
