What’s Diego Gomez’s Injury: When Will He Return for Inter Miami?
Inter Miami faces a scare in the form of Diego Gomez’s injury
Inter Miami suffered a crucial injury scare in their MLS outing against Nashville. Their player picked up a nasty injury during the match and had to be subbed off and taken out of the field with the help of a stretcher. Diego Gomez’s injury might halt Inter Miami’s good start to the new MLS season as he is a crucial player for the team.
The club registered an emphatic win over Nashville as Lionel Messi scored a brace on the day. However, the mood was spoiled in the club’s hierarchy by Gomez’s injury. The Inter Miami manager Tata Martino reportedly insisted on his player’s injury –
“Diego Gomez’s injury is an ankle sprain. He is currently getting x-rays to see how serious it is”.
However, as per the most recent reports, The Paraguyan national team doctor Osvaldo Insfran has listed that Gomez’s injury is a level three ankle sprain and he is most likely to be out of onfield action for a period of about four to six weeks. So, bearing that in mind the player might return for Inter Miami either in the later part of May or in the first half of June.
