England were held to a 1-1 draw by a spirited Denmark at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt on Thursday in the UEFA Euro 2024. Harry Kane’s 18th-minute goal was canceled out by Morten Hjulmand with a long-range strike as the Three Lions missed a chance to secure a spot in the round of 16.
The Danes finished as the more dangerous side with seven shots on target from 16 attempts and 51% possession, but their failure to win means they have only two points after two group matches. Their final match of the first round is against Serbia on Tuesday, whereas England play Slovenia.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 8.5/10: Denmark’s single biggest threat, Hojbjerg had four good attempts on target; too bad none of them found the back of the net
Victor Kristiansen – 7/10: He found Hjulmand with a lot of space and squared the ball to him to score Denmark’s equalizer
Cristian Eriksen – 7.5/10: No goals today, but Eriksen was still a key figure for Denmark, making four key passes and five crosses, as well as winning five ground duels

Jonas Wind – 7/10: He stepped up as his fellow attacking cohorts flattered to deceive, testing England with a nice shot in the opening half and making two key passes too

Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6/10: The Liverpool ace was more active than his last game, creating chances and pushing his side forward with inviting long balls
Declan Rice – 7/10: His passing range was top notch and played an important role in breaking down Denmark’s movements too

Bukayo Saka – 6/10: His shooting boots went missing today, as all three of Saka’s efforts were off-target, but he was still vital to England’s attacking plays, as the Arsenal star laid two key passes and made two crosses while completing 86% of his passes.
Jude Bellingham – 6/10: Scorer of England’s winner against Serbia, Bellingham started the match brightly before fading off
Phil Foden – 7.5/10: No goals or assists once again today but Foden was still a menace with his precocious dribbling skills while also making some excellent ball-recoveries.
