Dani Olmo rejected Bayern Munich in hopes of Barcelona transfer
Spanish publication SPORT have revealed that Dani Olmo decided against a transfer to Bayern Munich as he is only excited about the chance of going back to play for Barcelona.
Olmo was one of Spain’s best players in the recently concluded Euro 2024, helping La Furia Roja lift the European Championship. Barcelona have appointed Deco as the sole negotiator in order to secure a deal for Olmo this summer.
Barcelona reportedly already reached out to Leipzig with an initial offer of €40 million plus €20 million in variables. However, Leipzig are looking for a bigger figure in terms of the total transfer fee, especially since Barcelona wants to pay the €40 million in instalments.
Furthermore, there were talks between Bayern and Olmo’s representatives, and the German giants were ready to meet Leipzig’s €60 million release clause that was valid until July 20th, however, the player rejected the move.
