Will Dani Olmo Play Against Leganes In La Liga?
Dani Olmo has been a key player for FC Barcelona in the 2024-2025 season; however, injuries have hindered his full potential. The Spaniard has been injured since Barcelona’s 3-0 win against Osasuna just after the international break ended. Ever since then, Dani Olmo has missed out on four games across all competitions and is now set to miss out on yet another game after Hansi Flick’s statement.
FC Barcelona are currently in first place in La Liga with a three point lead over Real Madrid which they will seek to extend against Leganes. The Blaugrana have been unbeaten across all competitions in 2025 and are likely to extend this against Leganes. On the other hand Leganes are in 18th place in the relegation zone with only six wins throughout the season.
They have a key run of Fixtures ahead, namely the La Liga clash against Leganes and the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Dortmund.
However, Hansi Flick is likely to rest crucial players since the Leganes match is comparatively easier to win, and the fact that they have a 4-0 aggregate advantage over Borussia Dortmund. This implies that although Dani Olmo is missing out on playing, he is not missing out on the more crucial Fixtures which Barcelona will have at the end of the season.
FC Barcelona are set to face Leganes in an away match on 12th April. Although the fixture seems lopsided with Barcelona being one of the best teams in the world against a relegation zone team, Leganes already beat them 1-0 this season in December 2024 that too at Barca’s home stadium.
Official Statement Of Hansi Flick On Dani Olmo
“Dani Olmo will not play tomorrow. he should take more time and train here with the staff. He won’t be available”.
