Manchester City asserted their title ambitions with a convincing 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. After falling behind early to Jean-Philippe Mateta’s strike Kevin De Bruyne levelled the score with a sensational effort.

Second-half goals from Rico Lewis and Erling Haaland along with another from De Bruyne sealed the win for Pep Guardiola’s side.
